Efficiency review—ABC and SBS—terms of reference

This review will precede consideration of the next funding triennium for the national broadcasters, which commences from July 2019. The review will also take into account previous efficiency reviews, including the 2014 ABC and SBS Efficiency Study (the Lewis Review). Although the Lewis Review was completed relatively recently, a fresh review is warranted given the rapid pace at which the media sector is evolving.

Grant reporting—Arts Division—1 July 2011 to 30 June 2014

Agencies are required to publish details of their individual grants on their website no later than 14 working days after the funding agreement for the grant takes effect. A grant is a conditional transfer of resources from the Australian Government to a recipient for a specified purpose. Grants are directed at assisting recipients to achieve their own goals whilst also supporting Australian Government policy objectives. The Ministry of The Arts was transferred from the Attorney General's Department in September 2015. For completeness, all grants awarded from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2014 are published here.
