A Total Fire Ban is in force in the Jervis Bay Territory from midnight, 7 November 2024 to midnight 8 November 2024.
This follows the declaration of a Total Fire Ban in Illawarra/Shoalhaven for the same period due to hot and dry conditions in parts of the state.
In the interests of public safety, the lighting, maintenance or use of any fire or class of fire in the open air is prohibited, and all fire permits are suspended during this period in the Jervis Bay Territory.

The Commissioner of the NSW Rural Fire Service has issued an order prohibiting the lighting, maintenance or use of any fire in the open air in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven Fire District. The order is in place from midnight Thursday 2nd January until midnight Saturday, 4th January 2020.
This order is also in force in the Jervis Bay Territory.

NOTICE OF TOTAL FIRE BAN IN THE JERVIS BAY TERRITORY
MIDNIGHT, TUESDAY 17 DECEMBER 2019 TO MIDNIGHT, SATURDAY 21 DECEMBER 2019
The Commissioner of the NSW Rural Fire Service has issued an order prohibiting the lighting, maintenance or use of any fire in the open air in the Illawarra/Shoalhaven Fire District. The order is in place from midnight Tuesday 17th December until midnight Saturday, 21 December 2019.
This order is also in force in the Jervis Bay Territory.
