Review – National Airports Safeguarding Framework implementation

In August 2019, the National Airports Safeguarding Advisory Group (NASAG) agreed to undertake a review of implementation of the National Airports Safeguarding Framework (NASF).

The Review considered implementation of the NASF across jurisdictions; and sought submissions from all levels of government, industry and community stakeholders.

During 2020 the Review was delayed due to temporary reallocation of resources in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In September 2021 NASAG finalised its work on the Review and provided a Report, containing 8 Recommendations for further action, to the Infrastructure and Transport Senior Officials Committee and Heads of Planning for consideration.

Work arising from the Recommendations will now be incorporated into future Forward Work Plans for NASAG.
