Airspace regulation

Legislation to give effect to the transfer of airspace regulatory function from Airservices to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority was enacted by the Parliament and came into force on 1 July 2007.

Commencement of operations of the Office of Airspace Regulation

On 1 July 2007, CASA's Office of Airspace Regulation (OAR) commenced its role as the airspace regulator in the administration and regulation of Australian-administered airspace.
