The Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) Portfolio improves the lives of Australians by providing high quality advice and support to the Prime Minister, the Cabinet, portfolio ministers and assistant ministers. It takes a coordinated and innovative approach to the development and implementation of Australian Government policies, including those that impact on regional and remote communities.

The purpose of the Portfolio Budget Statements (PBS) is to inform Senators and Members of Parliament of the proposed allocation of resources to Government outcomes by agencies within the Portfolio. Agencies receive resources from the annual appropriation bills, special appropriations, standing appropriations (including special accounts), and revenue from other sources.

Our selection processes can vary and in some circumstances interviews may not occur. Selection may be based entirely on written applications and referee reports.

We aim to hold any further assessment, such as interviews or work sample tests, as soon as is conveniently possible after the closing date. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted at this stage of the process.

Foreign-vessels conducting coastal trade under temporary licences are required to pay Schedule A wages when vessels have made at least 3 voyages under a temporary licence in the past 12 months. Are the vessels you are using for voyages under your temporary licence complying?

The Shipping Business Unit (SBU) reminds Temporary Licence Holders to take steps to confirm the operators of vessels used for coastal trading meet their obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Fair Work Act).
