Grant reporting 2016–17—Ministry for the Arts—updated 5 September 2016

A grant is a conditional transfer of resources from the Australian Government to a recipient for a specified purpose. Grants are directed at assisting recipients to achieve their own goals whilst also supporting Australian Government policy objectives. The Ministry for The Arts was transferred from the Attorney General's Department in September 2015. On 7 April 2009, the Australian Government announced it would establish a new company, NBN Co Limited (NBN Co), to build and operate a new high-speed, wholesale-only, open-access National Broadband Network (NBN).
