In response to the recommendations from the 2018 Regional Telecommunications Review, the Government is developing a Digital Technology Hub (Digital Tech Hub) to assist regional, rural and remote users of telecommunications services.
The Digital Tech Hub will provide independent and factual information to support regional, rural and remote Australians in solving telecommunications issues and making the most of available technologies.
It will also provide information on digital applications for regional business sectors and assist local communities to engage in digital planning.
We are calling on all interested stakeholders to have their say on the design of the Digital Tech Hub. Submissions are now open until 21 February 2020.
The Digital Tech Hub forms part of the Regional Connectivity Program which is designed to target investment to local priorities to maximise economic opportunities and region-wide benefits for regional, rural and remote Australians.
