How we recruit

Our selection processes can vary and in some circumstances interviews may not occur. Selection may be based entirely on written applications and referee reports.

We aim to hold any further assessment, such as interviews or work sample tests, as soon as is conveniently possible after the closing date. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted at this stage of the process.

Workplace diversity

We aim to ensure that fair, equitable and non-discriminatory consideration is given to applicants.

If you need assistance at an interview such as for access to an interpreter or another service, please discuss this with the contact officer before the interview on 02 6274 6161. Applicants with speech-impairment may wish to use the National Relay Service.

RecruitAbility

The RecruitAbility scheme is applied to all of our external vacancies. For more information see the APS RecruitAbility Guide.

After the selection

All applicants will be advised by email of the outcome of the selection exercise. Please ensure we have your current email address in the myRecruitment system. If you wish to receive feedback on your application or have questions on the process, please contact the Chair of the selection committee.

Security requirements

All of our roles require a minimum of a Baseline Security Clearance. Successful candidates will need to obtain and maintain a security clearance at an appropriate level.

A pre-screening pack including the security clearance forms will be sent to successful candidates with their letter of offer. You will not be able to commence without your security clearance being granted.

For more information on security clearances see the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website.

Application progress or enquiries

Please direct any enquiries about the position’s duties, work area or the selection process to the nominated contact person.
