The Australian Government has engaged Qantas to deliver air services to and from Norfolk Island from 26 February to 6 March, following ongoing uncertainty with quarantine-free travel arrangements between Australia and New Zealand.
Until this uncertainty is resolved, Air New Zealand is not able to deliver air services to and from Norfolk Island, as Air New Zealand crew are required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Australia before crewing air services within Australia.
Please check qantas.com for the latest Qantas flight schedule.
Rebooking arrangements will minimise any inconvenience to travellers. Qantas flights will be replacing Air New Zealand flights to and from Norfolk Island, through to and including 6 March. Passengers with an Air New Zealand booking will be automatically rebooked to the replacement Qantas service.
Air New Zealand customers with questions regarding the booking process should contact the Air New Zealand call centre on +64 9 357 3000.
Passengers who wish to travel and do not have an existing booking with Air New Zealand can book Qantas flights online via qantas.com, by phoning 13 13 13, or through their travel agent.
In the coming days, I will provide a further update regarding air services to and from Norfolk Island after Saturday 6 March.
I would like to thank everyone for their continuing patience and understanding as we work to ensure the health and safety of residents and visitors to Norfolk Island.

Administrator of Norfolk Island
