Temporary flight arrangements for Norfolk Island

The Australian Government has engaged Qantas to deliver air services to and from Norfolk Island from 16 to 18 February, following the72-hour suspension of the Tasman green zone quarantine-free travel arrangements between Australia and New Zealand on Sunday.

Until the suspension is lifted, Air New Zealand is not able to deliver air services to and from Norfolk Island, as Air New Zealand crew are required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Australia before crewing air services within Australia.

The revised Qantas flight schedule for 16 to 18 February is below.

Rebooking arrangements will minimise any inconvenience to travellers. All passengers booked to travel on Monday 15 February will be automatically rebooked to the equivalent Qantas service on Wednesday 17 February. All passengers booked to travel to or from Norfolk Island on Tuesday 16, Wednesday 17 or Thursday 18 February will be automatically rebooked to the equivalent Qantas flight scheduled for the same day.

Passengers who wish to travel and do not have an existing booking with Air New Zealand can book Qantas flights online via qantas.com or through their travel agent.

In the coming days, I will provide a further update regarding air services to and from Norfolk Island after Thursday, 18 February.
