The community is encouraged to participate in next week's consultations on the initial design concepts for the Norfolk Island Multipurpose Health Services Facility (MPHS).
From 14 September, KPMG and design services contractor GHD Pty Ltd will be running virtual drop-in sessions through video chats to engage with the community on potential design solutions for a new health facility. All consultations will be undertaken in a COVID-safe way.
People can drop in Monday to Friday, 14–18 September from 9am to 5pm at No. 11 Quality Row to view the initial design options and supporting information. There will also be feedback forms and a secure box to leave queries and comments.
Then, on Wednesday 16 September (from 4pm-6pm), Thursday 17 September (10am to 12 noon) and Friday (10am and 12 noon), the community will also have the opportunity to engage with the design team through online video chats at No. 11 Quality Row .
The initial design and consultation details are also available to the community on the Departmental website at www.regional.gov.au/territories/norfolk_island/norfolk_island_health_services/Multipurpose-Health-Services-Facility-Project.aspx.
Written feedback can then also be provided in coming weeks, through the email inbox of territories_projects@infrastructure.gov.au, closing on 25 September 2020.

It is important to keep in mind that these consultations are part of the design stage for the project. Progression to the construction stage is subject to Government budget and parliamentary approval processes which are anticipated to commence in late 2021.
