I look forward to welcoming Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories, the Hon Nola Marino MP, on her first visit to Norfolk Island.
The Assistant Minister will be on island from 7-10 December.
During her visit, the Assistant Minister will meet with a wide range of stakeholders and community members including the Mayor, Norfolk Island Regional Council, Council of Elders, young leaders, tourism operators and business owners. The Assistant Minister is also looking forward to meeting with emergency and rescue service volunteers.
She will also visit local services including our health services and school and view critical local infrastructure and community projects.
The Assistant Minister is looking forward to engaging directly with the community and experiencing Norfolk Island’s rich natural environment and diverse heritage first hand, including KAVHA and the National Park.
The Assistant Minister was appointed to the Regional Development and Territories portfolio in May of this year.
She is well known for her dedication to regional communities and has been working hard for you, the community of Norfolk Island.
I am sure you will join me in making her most welcome on her visit to Norfolk Island.
