New Commonwealth Heritage Manager for the Australian Heritage Convict Site at Kingston and Arthur's Vale

Media Release
22 October 2014

It is with much pleasure I announce the appointment of a new Commonwealth Heritage Manager for the Australian Heritage Convict Site of Kingston and Arthur's Vale.

Mr Matthew (Matt) Alexander has moved to the Island with his family to commence in the role this week. He joins the Office of The Administrator team from Murwillumbah NSW and his initial appointment is for 2 years.

Matt will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role, drawing from his extensive experience and a strong background in heritage management and archaeology both as a hands-on manager and consultant.  He has worked on many key heritage projects across the Australian mainland for federal, state and local governments.

I trust the Norfolk community will join Lorraine and I in extending a heartfelt welcome to Matt, Andrea and Harry to their new home for at least the next two years.

The Hon. Gary Hardgrave
