Have your say on the Site Master Plan for Kingston

Conrad Gargett and SMA Tourism will be back on Norfolk Island next week to share the draft recommendations and implementation of the Kingston Site Master Plan (SMP) with the community, providing further opportunity for Norfolk Islanders to help inform the plan for the historic site’s future.

This third round of consultation on the SMP builds on previous community input, presenting opportunities for Kingston for the immediate and short term (0 to 2 years), medium term (2 to 5 years) and long term (5 to 10 years). It will inform the final SMP for Kingston.

As one of Australia’s most significant heritage sites, it is extremely important that local knowledge and expertise helps drive the future of Kingston, supporting a collaborative, holistic approach to the SMP that recognises the culture, history and daily life of Norfolk Island.

An exhibition showcasing the key SMP opportunities and recommendations will be on display at Kingston at #11 Quality Row, ahead of the arrival of the Conrad Gargett team, giving the community the opportunity to visit and engage before the consultation sessions.

You are invited to attend the exhibition between 9am-1pm on Saturday, 10 September and Sunday, 11 September.

Through the exhibition and consultation sessions, community members can meet theproject team, understand the key opportunities, and share your views on these opportunities, as well as making other suggestions.
