2017/12—Booderee National Park—Keep Booderee Beautiful Campaign

Booderee National Park will be starting their Keep Booderee Beautiful campaign on Friday, 1 December 2017, with a clean-up starting at Green Patch day use area between 8.30 am–12.30 pm. Due to increasing amounts of rubbish being found in the national park over the past few years there is a need to raise the profile of this issue that impacts the local community and wildlife.

Parks Australia, HMAS Creswell, Booderee National Park and Jervis Bay Territory Administration staff will be taking part in the one-day clean-up to launch the campaign on the first day of summer. All members of the Jervis Bay Territory community are also invited to participate.

Rubbish bags, gloves and bins will be provided for volunteers and staff on the day but you will need to bring your own hat and sunscreen. A barbeque will be held with food and water provided to those assisting in the clean-up.

To promote the event, and the launch of the Keep Booderee Beautiful campaign, Booderee National Park will be inviting media to report on the clean-up effort. There will also be the opportunity to participate on social media via the following methods;
