The ACT Government has released the Domestic Animals (Fees) Determination 2013 (No 1), which sets the fees and charges for domestic animal transactions in the Jervis Bay Territory.

The new fees were introduced with effect from 1 July 2013.

Below is a list of the most common charges:

Lifetime registration of a dog $47.40
Lifetime registration of a dog where keeper is a pension/benefit recipient $17.50
Issue of a permit to keep any cat or dog that has not been desexed $347.10
Issue of a permit to keep any cat or dog that has not been desexed where keeper is a pension/benefit recipient $71.05
Surrendering of dog ownership $52.95
