Number: A002/2021
Date: 6 January 2021
I am seeking Expressions of Interest from Christmas Island residents who wish to contribute to the design, delivery, measurement and evaluation of health services across the Indian Ocean Territories as part of the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service Community Advisory Committee (CAC).
A vacancy has become available due to Ms Vanessa Bennett stepping down from her position on the CAC. I thank Ms Bennett for her valuable contribution to the Committee, and wish her all the best in the future.
An information package about the position, including an application form, and privacy statement, is available at www.regional.gov.au/territories/publications/index.aspx
The Terms of Reference are also available on the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications website.
I encourage you to submit your Expressions of Interest by 11:59pm local (Island) time, Sunday 31 January 2021.
Completed application forms may be emailed to indianoceanterritories@infrastructure.gov.au or returned to the Office of the Administrator on Christmas Island.
Established in mid-2020, the CAC was formed through the merging of the Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands Health Advisory Groups. For local people who are committed to ensuring the delivery of high-quality health services across the IOT, joining the CAC is a wonderful opportunity to help inform initiatives to address local health issues, and support the continuous improvement in service delivery.
The CAC operates under the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service Community Advisory Committee—Terms of Reference—March 2020 to December 2021, and aligns with the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care's Partnering with Consumers Standard.
