Telstra will be attending the Cocos (Keeling) Islands (CKI) from 26 November to 3 December 2019 to migrate its Telstra Earth Station to a new satellite service.

Telstra has advised it is decommissioning the current satellite servicing CKI land line phones in February 2020.

Telstra has advised that land line telephone services on CKI will be affected in the early hours from 28 November to 2 December 2019 with outages to services commencing just after midnight (at 0001) and returning to service in the morning (from 0600) during this period.

Telstra has advised it intends to keep breaks in service to a minimum.
