Disruptions to Digital Television Broadcasts—Friday 21 June 2019

Repair and upgrade works to the Emergency Broadcast System on Christmas Island will be undertaken on Friday 21 June 2019.

To minimise inconvenience all works will be carried out from 9.00am to 1.00pm. During this period there will be minor and intermittent disruptions to digital television broadcast services. Additionally, a number of community messages may flash across the screen. E.g. Cyclone Emergency Alerts. Please ignore these community messages during this period.

The upgrades are necessary to ensure the community can be effectively informed of any emergencies that may impact on the islands.
