Executive Summary of the Final Report on the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service now translated

We have been working proactively to ensure the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service (IOTHS) continues to provide high quality health services and meet the emerging needs of communities.

Following the release of the PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Final Report on the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service – IOTHS 5 Year Strategy in March, I am pleased to advise that Chinese and Malay translations ofthe Executive Summary are now available.

The Executive Summary provides an overview of the Final Report, including key findings on community health needs, priority needs, service model options for the Christmas Island Hospital and strategic initiatives to ensure the IOTHS continues to meet emerging community health needs.

It is available in English, Chinese and Malay on the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities’ website at: https://regional.gov.au/territories/publications/index.aspx.

Hard copies are available, upon request, from the Indian Ocean Territories Administration Offices.
