Reporting incidents on Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands

An increase in Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Island Community Members using Facebook sites as a means to highlight incidents requiring reporting has been noted by the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities.

Even though Department employees may be tagged, our staff do not always check Facebook sites. Given we are currently in the monsoon season there will likely be an increase in incidents requiring reporting. To ensure prompt responses to identified issues it is better to contact the appropriate authorities directly.
