A Rockfall Level One Alarm was activated at 01:45 pm on Monday 6 May 2019 following heavy rainfall which exceeded the trigger of 52mm/hour at the Drumsite rain gauge.

The Alarm was not triggered as a result of a Cyclone Warning. We are NOT under a current Cyclone Warning.

Access to Flying Fish Cove has been restricted and speed limit signs have been imposed on Murray Road in line with the Rockfall Risk Management Plan. The Level One actions will remain in place for the next 24 hours, allowing AFP personnel to inspect the rockfall fence and landslide susceptible areas. If you see any rockfalls or landslides, please immediately contact the on-call AFP office on 9164 8444.

The Emergency Management Committee appreciates the ongoing cooperation of the community to ensure the safety of personnel in landslide and rockfall susceptible areas.
