One of the things I love so much about the Cocos (Keeling) Islands is the enormous community spirit we have.
I am incredibly proud of the significant number of amazing people who do so much in terms of volunteering their time for the benefit of others.
Unfortunately I won"t be able to attend the Australia Day festivities on Cocos (Keeling) Islands (CKI) this year. However I still want to recognise the quiet achievers in our community through my annual award program, which I plan to present the recipients their awards in February when I am next back on Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
I am seeking your help to nominate those special people.
Please email your nomination to me at natasha.griggs@infrastructure.gov.au. Your nomination should state in 500 words or less why this person or organisation should receive an Administrator’s Award and the category or categories the nomination is for.
Categories include:
- CKI Community Citizen 2018 - Senior
- CKI Community Citizen 2018 - Youth
- CKI Community Citizen 2018
- CKI Volunteer of the Year
- CKI Bravery Award
- CKI Administrator’s special recognition
Nominations should be received by close of business, 21 January 2019.
