Works by Linx at the Old Jetty at West Island

The Port Manager and Linx staff will commence demolition works of the front section of the West Island Jetty today, Thursday the 6th December 2018. The works will be undertaken over a number of days and the community is asked to observe caution when in the general area.

The works are required to ensure the safety of all watercraft, water users and maintenance staff due to both the age and deteriorated condition of the jetty, as well as the damage sustained during recent swell events. All residents and visitors are reminded that access to the jetty is closed at all times, and will remain closed for the future.
