Additional Public Consultations on Christmas Island

At the public meeting on Christmas Island on Monday 9 April 2018 about the Five Year Strategic Plan for the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service, the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities committed to hold another round of public consultations on Christmas Island, with accredited Chinese and Malay translators.

The Department and PricewaterhouseCoopers will hold public meetings to discuss Christmas Island residents" health needs on Christmas Island on Monday 21 May 2018. Two meetings will be held at the Recreation Centre:

  • 10:30am to 12:30pm; and
  • 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

I invite all members of the community to attend these public meetings. Please RSVP your attendance by Friday 18 May to Office-iota@infrastructure.gov.au.

PricewaterhouseCoopers will be available between sessions on Monday 21 May and the morning of Tuesday 22 May to meet with small groups and individuals. Please contact Mr Tim McMinn of PricewaterhouseCoopers at tim.j.mcminn@pwc.com to organise a meeting.

Both the public meetings and individual meetings will be attended by accredited translators in Chinese and Malay.
