Have your say on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Strategic Plan

As you may recall, I informed the community on 13 September 2018 that the Indian Ocean Territories Regional Development Organisation (RDO) had appointed C Change Sustainable Solutions Pty Ltd (Vanessa Bennett), together with Stump Jump Solutions (Leon Mills) and Phil Gouldson to work with the RDO and the community to prepare the Cocos (Keeling) Islands Strategic Plan.

The Strategic Plan is being funded by the Australian Government, developed through the RDO and implemented, with the support of the Administrator and RDO, through the newly appointed Regional Investment Officer, Madi Signa.

The Strategic Plan will be a plan for the community by the community, and to be most effective, we need your input.

The consultancy team will be conducting consultations between 16‑23 November and this will include a mixture of individual meetings, community forums and a community survey.

At any stage during the drafting process you can make a submission to the Strategic Plan by emailing David Eizenberg in the Office of the Administrator at david.eizenberg@infrastructure.gov.au and/or dropping off a hard copy submission at the IOTA office on West Island.

We look forward to working with everyone in the community to ensure that the Strategic Plan becomes Cocos (Keeling) Islands" roadmap for a prosperous and sustainable future.
