A new schedule of vehicle examination fees will be introduced in the Indian Ocean Territories (IOT) of Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands from 1 July 2022.
As advised on 30 June 2021, IOT vehicle examination fees are now aligned with the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and are updated annually.
The following fee amendments are applied to vehicle examination fees in 2022-23:

Item 4 |
Any vehicle covered by table item 1, 2 or 3 |
verifying the vehicle’s identity or specifications— increases from $128.75 to $140.30 |
