The eSafety Commissioner was first established in 2015 as the Children's eSafety Commissioner.

eSafety supports individuals and promotes online safety for all Australians. This includes providing information and tools to help manage online safety risks, and administering schemes to tackle severe online abuse targeted at an adult, cyberbullying material targeted at an Australian child, the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and harmful online material.

During the summer season, it is important for the Norfolk Island community to be prepared for increased risks of uncontrolled fire.

Following the advice of the Chief Fire Control Officer, I have declared a fire danger period under the Fire Control Act 2000 (NI), commencing 14 January 2022.

On 9 December 2021 the National Accessible Transport Taskforce (the Taskforce) met for the final time in 2021 to discuss the consultation plan for the Stage 2 Consultation Regulation Impact Statement (RIS).

With 54 areas of reform to the Transport Standards to be included in the Consultation RIS, the Taskforce is working to ensure people are able to easily understand reform areas and engage in the consultation process to have their say. The Consultation RIS and supporting documents will be released for public feedback in early 2022.
