The Our North, Our Future: White Paper on Developing Northern Australia (White Paper) is the Government's 20-year framework to guide policy makers and investors in building a strong, prosperous and resilient northern economy.

Due to the continuing COVID-19 situation on mainland Australia and now also in the Indian Ocean Territories (IOT), the Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories, the Honourable Nola Marino MP, is extending the declared states of emergency (SoE) in Christmas Island (CI) and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands (CKI) up until 30 June 2022.

The Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories, the Honourable Nola Marino MP, has extended the declared State of Emergency for the Jervis Bay Territory (JBT) for a 30-day period from 16 March 2022, as part of the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

By doing this, the JBT community will continue to be protected and supported during this time, with the health and wellbeing of the community the first priority.
