The Australian Government has committed funding over three years, from 2024–25 to  2026–27, for the Thriving Suburbs Program to deliver investment in community infrastructure projects.

The Australian Government's $150 million urban Precincts and Partnerships Program (uPPP) is open for applications.

The uPPP seeks to support transformative investment in urban precincts based on the principles of unifying urban places, growing economies and serving communities. The uPPP focuses on a partnership approach, bringing together governments, businesses and communities to deliver multi-purpose precincts that are place-based, tailored to the local needs and positioned around a shared vision, need or theme.

The third five-year review of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Transport Standards) was undertaken by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications, in consultation with the Attorney-General's Department. The final review report was publicly released on 2 December 2021.

The second five-year review was undertaken by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development in consultation with the Attorney-General's Department, the Accessible Public Transport Jurisdictional Committee, the Accessible Public Transport National Advisory Committee and the Aviation Access Forum.
