Migration Assurance Policy Statement

The government's Migration Assurance Policy for fixed-line national broadband network (nbn) services focuses on how to improve migration processes for customers and minimise disruption to their services. It also identifies people who may need extra support to migrate before the disconnection date.

The policy has two parts—a policy statement and a framework. The Migration Assurance Policy Statement, on this page, establishes a number of assurance principles which set out in broad terms the government's expectations for reformed migration arrangements.

The statement is accompanied by the Migration Assurance Policy Framework which clarifies the roles and responsibilities of the parties involved in the NBN migration process and sets out the critical components underpinning a successful end-to-end migration process.

The Migration Assurance Policy was developed by the government, in consultation with NBN Co Limited and Telstra, and informed by extensive stakeholder feedback and public submissions.
