The Terms of Endorsement, which outline the Australian Government’s expectations of auDA, were last updated in April 2018. Feedback will help determine if the Australian Government’s Terms of Endorsement for auDA remain fit for purpose.

How you can voice your opinion

The Department invites written submissions from individuals, businesses, peak bodies and other interested parties on proposed changes to the Terms of Endorsement, through the open public consultation process.

Submissions should include the respondent’s name, organisation (if applicable) and contact details. Submissions with no verifiable contact details will not be considered.

Members of the public are invited to make written submissions on the Terms of Endorsement for the .au Domain Administration (auDA), for use in the current review of the Terms.

The Issue

auDA is an independent, not-for-profit organisation responsible for the policy and administration of the .au domain. The organisation was endorsed by the Australian Government in 2000 as the appropriate entity to operate the .au domain.

The Terms of Endorsement, which outline the Australian Government's expectations of auDA, were last updated in April 2018. Feedback will help determine if the Australian Government's Terms of Endorsement for auDA remain fit for purpose.

We are seeking feedback on whether the Terms of Endorsement:

Reflect the multi-stakeholder model of internet governance, promoting competition, fair trading and consumer protection
Reflect the expectations of the broader internet community
Promote trust and confidence in the .au administration.

The review of the Terms of Endorsement has now been completed, and an updated Terms document has been issued by the Government. The Review Report is also available. Thank you for your submissions.
