Australian Government response to the Senate Environment and Communications Legislation Committee report on Telecommunications Legislation Amendment (Competition and Consumer) Bill 2017 [Provisions] and Telecommunications (Regional Broadband Scheme) Charge Bill 2017 [Provisions].
The Government supports the recommendations of the Senate Committee’s Majority Report. The Telecommunications Reform Package will promote competition and improve access to broadband services for all people in Australia, especially those in regional, rural and remote areas.
