This week the Productivity Commission (PC) released its productivity update 2015, analysing Australia's productivity performance in 2013–14.
The report looks at contributions to output and growth in Australia and ways to improve the efficiency of investment in public infrastructure.
The report complements the digital productivity project being undertaken by the BCR.
The BCR's digital productivity project is designed to analyse the link between digitisation of services and productivity and will help:
- understand the effects of digitisation on Australia's productivity performance
- assess any obstacles that will prevent Australia realising of the benefits of digitisation, and
- provide the evidence base for what policy options could enhance digital productivity.
To date, the BCR has released a digital productivity primer and will soon release a labour productivity impacts report.
You can download the primer on the BCR digital productivity project page.
