The National Accessible Transport Taskforce and the National Accessible Transport Steering Committee met throughout the second half of 2020 to continue to consider a range of policy options to modernise the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Transport Standards) for people with disability.
The policy options, having been firstly agreed by the Taskforce and the Steering Committee, were subsequently endorsed by the Infrastructure and Transport Senior Officials Committee at its October meeting to be included in a Consultation Regulation Impact Statement to be made available for public comment in early 2021.
