Outcome
We have undertaken a review of the National Triple Zero (000) Operator and released a report of its findings.
The report used consultation from key stakeholders in the telecommunications, emergency services, industry, government sectors and members of the public.
Recommendations for the future of the National Triple Zero (000) Operator are provided and can be broadly grouped into the key areas of:
- Technology
- Governance and Coordination
- Funding
- Delivery Model
- Regulation
- Tender for the Emergency Call Person
We have also released an Implementation Plan for the Review of the National Triple (000) Zero Operator.
The plan outlines steps Government will take to implement the recommendations of the Review.
