Narrator: Today, I'm going to show you how to set up multifactor authentication for an existing ROVER account. If you created your account before 13th of July 2022, you'll need to set up multifactor authentication to sign into your ROVER account. Start by typing rover.infrastructure.gov.au into your web browser to reach the ROVER portal webpage. The recommended browsers include Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.

[Image shows the cursor selecting 'Sign in' at the bottom left]

On the bottom left hand side of the page click the 'Sign in' button.

You'll need to reset your password as part of the process, so click 'Forgot your password'.

[Image shows the email address field being populated and then the cursor selecting 'Send verification code']

Now, enter the email address you use to sign into your account. Then click 'Send verification code'.

[Image shows a 'Verification code' field appearing below the email address]

This will trigger an email to be sent to you containing a 6-digit code. The verification code will expire after 10 minutes. However, you can click on the 'Send new code' button to get another. If the verification code is slow to arrive, check your junk or spam folder.

Once you have the email, go back to the ROVER screen and type or copy the code into the 'Verification Code' field and click the 'Verify code' button. If you wish to set up multifactor authentication for another ROVER account, click 'Change email' and follow the prompts.

[Image shows the cursor selecting 'Continue' below the email address]

In this example, I'll click 'Continue' to reset the password and set up multifactor authentication for the email address I entered originally. Click 'Continue'.

Next, choose the country you're located in using the drop down menu. In this example, I'll choose Australia.

Then enter the mobile number you want the SMS code to be sent to. Please do not add any spaces. Now click 'Send code' and you'll be sent an SMS to that phone number with a new verification code. Now enter the code into this field.

If you didn't get an SMS, you can click the 'send new code' link and be sent another one. Click 'Verify Code'.

You can now enter a new password. It should be between 10 and 30 characters long.

Then click 'Continue'.

You are now signed in to ROVER. And that's how you set up multifactor authentication for your existing ROVER account.
