• There were a total of 117 road deaths in January 2008.
  • this is an 11.4 per cent decrease from the January 2007 figure.
• During the 12 months ended January 2008, there were a total of 1,598 deaths.
  • this is a 1.5 per cent increase over the 12 month period ended January 2007.
