Winners of the 2024 Regional Development Australia (RDA) Awards announced

The new awards shine a light on the outstanding work that the RDA network does to support regional communities.

Representatives from RDA committees across Australia gathered at the RDA Forum's Dinner in Busselton, WA, on Monday 28 October 2024 to celebrate the winners of the inaugural 2024 RDA Awards.

The Hon Kirsty McBain MP, Australian Government Minister for Regional Development, Local Government and Territories, was unable to attend the RDA Forum. On Minister McBain's behalf the Hon Don Punch MLA, Minister for Regional Development with Mr Phill Cronin, Mayor of the City of Busselton, personally congratulated the winners.

The winners reflect a diverse range of projects, programs and initiatives, each demonstrating clear community benefits and a commitment to investing in their regions.

There were 12 award recipients, a winner and a commendation in each of the four categories, plus four special commendations.

The winners are:

Category 1: Investing in People

Category 2: Investing in Place

Category 3: Investing in Services

Category 4: Investing in Industries and Local Economies
