Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport flight path proposals

During August, we’ll be holding community information and feedback sessions to consult with communities about 2 flight path proposals, both in person and online.

We encourage residents who have an interest in the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport preliminary flight paths to attend our upcoming August community information and feedback sessions.

At these sessions, we will share information about 2 proposals which have been developed in response to the submissions on the preliminary flight paths Environmental Impact Statement consultation process from 24 October 2023 to 31 January 2024.

These 2 flight path proposals relate to Reciprocal Runway Operations at night and are:

  1. revised flight paths for jet aircraft travelling to the east from the airport
  2. a new noise abatement procedure.

While there is no formal submission process for these 2 proposals, you can provide feedback by attending one of the information and feedback sessions. Alternatively, you can provide written feedback by emailing wsiflightpaths@infrastructure.gov.au.

We will consider all feedback received at the information and feedback sessions in August in reviewing the proposals for inclusion in the final Environmental Impact Statement. We will endeavour to consider written feedback. The final EIS is scheduled to be published in late 2024.
