The Australian Government has today announced two new appointees to the Australian Broadband Advisory Council (the Council).

The Australian Government has today announced two new appointees to the Australian Broadband Advisory Council (the Council).

Dr Bronwyn Evans, current CEO of Engineers Australia and Chair of the Building 4.0 Cooperative Research Centre, and Mr Vince Pizzica, who has extensive senior level experience in the media and telecommunications industries across multiple continents, have been appointed as members for the next year.

The Australian Broadband Advisory Council was established in July 2020 to provide advice to the Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts on ways to maximise the benefits of high speed networks in key sectors of the economy.

The Council is made up of eminent Australians with expertise in innovation, connectivity and key sectors of the economy.

It provides an important role on how Australia can maximise the economic and social benefits of widespread broadband connectivity, including through increased take up and use of NBN and 5G.

The current members are:
