Stay informed about Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport

The draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the airport's flight paths was published on 24 October, and people have until 31 January 2024 to make a submission.

The draft Environmental Impact Statement provides information about the preliminary flight paths and their potential environmental, social, health and economic impacts.

It also includes a draft Noise Insulation and Property Acquisition policy, which outlines measures to address and reduce aircraft noise in the areas most affected.

The department is hosting face-to-face community information sessions across Sydney, to answer questions about the draft EIS. See the Visit Us page on the WSI Community Portal for more information.

For those who are unable to attend a community information session, the department held a webinar on 14 November. A recording of this webinar is now available online.
