Residents of Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains are invited to community information sessions about the WSI preliminary flight paths.
The new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) is on track to open for domestic and international travellers, and freight by late 2026.
Over recent weeks, the department has hosted community information sessions in Penrith, Blacktown, Springwood, Luddenham, Horsley Park, Warragamba and Bringelly, to share information and hear feedback about flight paths and noise impacts from the airport.
During July and August, further community information sessions will be held in Blaxland, Liverpool, Windsor, Picton, St Marys, Katoomba and Mount Druitt.
For more information and to register, please see the Community Events page on the WSI Community Portal.
Laptops and tablets will be available at each session, and departmental staff will be able to help you use the Aircraft Overflight Noise Tool, which shows the expected aircraft numbers and predicted noise for specific locations or addresses.
Those who aren’t able to attend an in-person event can join us for an online community information session in August. Registration details for this online event will be available soon on www.wsiflightpaths.gov.au.
