New project to build critical Western Sydney transit corridor

The Australian and NSW governments are each committing $500 million to upgrade Fifteenth Avenue in Western Sydney.

Fifteenth Avenue is currently a congested two-lane road, used by over 22,000 vehicles daily.

This upgrade will create a new Liverpool to Airport Transit Corridor, connecting the Bradfield city centre, the new Metro train line and the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport.

It will enable faster and easier travel along the route, and improve liveability for people living in Liverpool and nearby areas.

Work on this project is expected to begin in early 2027.

The Australian Government is investing nearly $18 billion towards transport infrastructure projects in Western Sydney.
