It’s your turn NT, have your say on telecommunications services in regional, rural and remote areas

We want to hear from you as part of the 2024 Regional Telecommunications Review.

The Review is undertaken every 3 years and is an opportunity for people living and working in regional, rural and remote areas of Australia to share their views and experiences using telecommunications services.

The Regional Telecommunications Independent Review Committee has been holding consultations across Australia, and will be visiting the following locations in the Northern Territory:

Katherine, Northern Territory
Date: 12 September 2024
Time: 9:00am – 10:30am ACST
Location: Knotts Crossing Resort - Cnr Giles & Cameron Streets, Katherine

Darwin, Northern Territory
Date: 12 September 2024
Time: 3:30pm – 5:00pm ACST
Location: Hilton Darwin, 32 Mitchell St, Darwin

The Review is seeking a wide range of views and experiences to help inform findings and recommendations. The Review Committee members are particularly interested in hearing how emerging technologies could improve connectivity; the needs of First Nations’ communities; ways telecommunications can support regional development; and the suitability of telecommunications during emergency situations.

The Committee has been travelling around the country to regional and remote areas to hear from communities and local businesses. This will be the last face-to-face consultation opportunity before the Committee prepares a report on the findings and recommendations, which will be presented to the Government in December 2024.
