Applications are now open for two key Regional Australia Level Crossing Safety Program grants

Helping improve safety at rail level crossings across regional Australia using research, data and practical trials is the focus of new grant programs.

These grants are competitive, and industry, research bodies, universities are among those encouraged to apply (grant ID: GO6009) for the first round of funding by Thursday, 6 April 2023.

The Level Crossing Safety Data Improvement project grant is open to the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator. This will improve data and risk assessments of level crossings nationwide, particularly through upgrades to the National Level Crossing Portal.
