2025–26 Federal Budget released

Find out more about infrastructure, transport, communications and the arts investment through the Federal Budget.

The 2025-26 Budget is supporting infrastructure, transport, regional development, communications and the arts.  

The Australian Government has outlined a series of measures to help keep Australians connected, safe and informed, including:

  • $17.1 billion for new and existing road and rail projects 
  • $20 million for a new round of the On Farm Connectivity Program
  • $16.9 million to support maritime industry skills and training
  • $11 million for a 3-year extension of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Languages Policy Partnership
  • $8.6 million to extend the Revive Live arts and culture support program for an additional year
  • $5.3 million to continue to deliver free broadband for up to 30,000 eligible families under the School Student Broadband Initiative
  • $1.8 million to continue the Measuring Broadband Australia program, assisting consumers to make informed purchasing choices about broadband services
