Conclusion of current consultations on Norfolk Island Ports Management Strategy

The Australian Government thanks the Norfolk Island community for your participation in the recent stage of consultations on options for the infrastructure and long-term management of Norfolk Island ports.

The Norfolk Island Ports Management Strategy, developed by Grosvenor Performance Group (Grosvenor) and Consult Marine, will identify reliable and safe port operations to support the economic wellbeing and sustainability of the Norfolk Island community.

If you have not yet provided feedback on the options for Norfolk Island ports, you are welcome to do so up until Wednesday, 28 October 2020. There will be a second stage of sessions later in the year, at which time the options for future management will be tested with the community.

Project documents are available on the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communication’s webpage at www.regional.gov.au/territories/norfolk_island/norfolk_island_projects/port_management_strategy.aspx.

In addition to the on-island sessions, Grosvenor has set up a dedicated email address which can be used to communicate with the project team. If you would like to have your say regarding options identified as part of the Norfolk Island Ports Management Strategy, please contact Grosvenor at the following email address: NIPortsProject@grosvenorpg.com.auor forward your submissions to my office.
