On 29 March 2022, NBN Co lodged a variation to its Special Access Undertaking (SAU) with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). This was released by the ACCC on 23 May 2022.
In July 2022, the Minister for Communications, the Hon Michelle Rowland MP, wrote to NBN Co and the ACCC outlining the Australian Government’s expectations in relation to the SAU variation process. The Minister supports NBN Co withdrawing its March 2022 variation proposal and submitting a revised proposal.
