National Farmers’ Federation to design and run the new Regional Digital Tech Hub (Digital Tech Hub)

The Regional Digital Tech Hub will support regional users of telecommunications services to make the most of the connectivity options available.

The Government has announced that the National Farmers' Federation (the NFF) will develop and operate the new Digital Tech Hub.

The selection follows a competitive tender process, which attracted a strong level of interest from potential providers.

The Digital Tech Hub forms part of the Government's response to the 2018 Regional Telecommunications Review, which found that consumers in regional, rural and remote communities would benefit from further information and support to boost their knowledge of the latest communications technologies and develop their skills and confidence in using them.

The Digital Tech Hub will provide independent and factual information to regional, rural and remote Australians about their digital choices, and help them to resolve telecommunications issues.

The Digital Tech Hub is expected to be operational before the end of 2020.
